Stinky Floor Drain. A sewer line cleanout cover has been left off our photo at left. Smelly bathroom drains can be caused by a number of things that can stick to pipes including dead skin rubbish food a build-up of soap scum and solidified liquids like oils.
Simply pour a few gallons of water to re-establish the proper water barrier. Turn the disposal off and drop a few ice cubes and several lemon peels into the drain. If blocking the drain line off outside the home does not stop the odor there are some of the other possibilities.
Pull the stopper and run the disposal as the soapy water drains.
